Shamble
A team format where everyone tees off and the best drive is chosen, then each player plays their own ball the rest of the hole.
It sits between a scramble and best ball. Like a scramble, the whole team plays their second shot from the best tee shot. Unlike a scramble, nobody shares a shot after that, each player finishes the hole with their own ball, and the team just takes the best individual score.
That mix of one shared shot and otherwise real, individual golf is why shamble scores usually run 4 to 8 strokes higher than the same group would post in a full scramble.
