Double Bogey
A score of two strokes over par on a hole.
On the scorecard, a double bogey means a 6 on a par-4, a 5 on a par-3, two shots worse than expected. It's usually the result of one missed shot compounded by a mistake trying to recover, rather than two bad shots in a row.
