Scramble
A team format where everyone plays a shot, the best one is chosen, and the whole team plays their next shot from there.
The name describes exactly what happens: every player hits from the same spot each time, and the whole group "scrambles" to that best position for the next shot. A popular variant, the Texas Scramble, simply gets its name from how explosively popular the format became in Texas in the 1950s, after starting out under the plainer name "Captain's Choice."
